Tanks

Beginning with our client's technical specifications, we can plan and manufacture atmospheric or pressure tanks which comply with current construction standards such as ASTM, ASME, PED (ISPESL), MERKBLATT, etc. Any tank can be designed by simply using some basic information. Firstly, the capacity is important and this is typically expressed in litres or cubic metres. For pressurised tanks, we also need to know the maximum pressure allowed, because if it exceeds this, there may be a risk that the tank will be damaged or may even explode if it is not equipped with the correct safety valve. It is often useful to know the size and weight as well as the operating / proposed tank temperature in order to calculate and supply the correct material and insulation thickness.

A pressure tank is a vessel designed to hold gases or liquids at a different pressure to the external one. Usually the fluid contained by the container is at a higher pressure than it is on the outside.

Some examples of pressure tanks are: pulsation dampeners for reciprocating compressors, distillation columns in refineries and petrochemical plants, reactor pressure vessel, and gas and liquid tanks.
