Roller supports

Roller supports

Roller supports are devices that are used to support the weight of pipes which, due to thermal variations or other causes, occur in the support points during horizontally displacement, with its main part moving in the axial direction. The roller supports also serve very well to counterbalance the horizontal forces from both wind and thermal variations in all cases where this is necessary. The patented Ca.S.T.Im 2000 roller supports are designed and built in such a way as to guarantee and ensure complete safety when operating. The various support component parts are made of high-quality materials that can be joined easily by welding and are subjected to low levels of stress when in operation. All welding is carried out using inert gas with automatic equipment on special positioners, in order to ensure the operating parameters and the quality level are maintained at a constant. The bushings and thrust washers that are used when constructing the roller supports are self-lubricating and are made from PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) attached to a metal support. The patented Ca.S.T.Im 2000 roller supports have the following distinctive features:

• they do not require any kind of lubrication

• the friction coefficient values remain practically unchanged over time

• their features are unaltered when operating in varying temperatures ranging from -30 to 250 ° C
